Decentralizirane umetniške platforme

Decentralised Artistic Platforms · Rok Černezel · 2026

ABSTRACT

The research examines the possibilities of establishing a digital environment for artistic production, distribution, and participation, particularly in the context of decentralized networks and emerging technological paradigms of Web 3.0 and Web 4.0. The analysis includes an overview of historical and contemporary web models and their influence on the social, cultural, and economic structures of the art system. Special attention is devoted to issues of access, censorship, and the algorithmic mechanisms that shape the visibility and valuation of art within centralized online environments. The study also explores the potential of augmented reality, gamified user experiences, and decentralized governance (DAO) in constructing alternative, more open, and participatory artistic ecosystems. Through a combination of technological and theoretical approaches, the research highlights the possibilities of creating a space that reduces the influence of elitist practices in the art market, enables more transparent models of self-regulation, and fosters greater interactivity and user autonomy within the digital sphere of art.

IN THE ARCHIVE

The archive documents two built stages of the kubus project. The monograph’s third chapter follows this trajectory through kubus 3.0 and art.kubus, where the project expands from an installation into a research-development platform and experimental field for questions of decentralisation, participation and digital art infrastructure.
