art.kubus

The art.kubus landing view: a dark globe carrying clustered art markers, with the platform description and an early-access panel over it.

art.kubus extends the kubus research trajectory into cultural infrastructure. It is an open research-development platform connecting art, place and digital systems, and a working prototype for studying access, visibility, participation and governance in contemporary art. Rather than presenting decentralisation, augmented reality or token-based systems as solutions in themselves, the project uses them as experimental tools for asking whether digital infrastructure can redistribute agency — or simply reproduce existing hierarchies in another form.

The art.kubus app: a sidebar of Home, Explore, Connect and Infrastructure beside a map of Ljubljana dense with orange artwork markers, a Discover search field, and a Discovery path panel.

The art.kubus capability row: public art map, context layers, public archive and community participation, described as four cards over the globe.
Four layers under test: map, context, archive, participation.
The art.kubus app on a phone: artwork markers over the Ljubljana street map, a Discovery path counter reading 0 of 52, and a nearby-art panel listing nine results.
The same prototype in the hand — a discovery path, counted.
