kubus 2.0

Ever since I was little, I enjoyed tinkering with electronics and the digital world. As a 7-year-old boy, I disassembled a computer box just to remove the battery that reset the BIOS because my parents had set a password for access. Later on, I delved into various cracking activities, set up Minecraft servers, designed YouTube channels, and edited short video game clips. At some point, I discovered photography, and ultimately expanded my interests within the field, even though I distanced myself from it. In recent years, I have incorporated activism into my creative expression, as I have always been bothered by the unjust systemic forces and injustices occurring worldwide. Through the use of technologies ranging from artificial intelligence to virtual reality spaces, I aim to present my perspective, which I actively study and question on a monthly basis.

In the revision of the Kubus project, which finally takes on a physical form as an entity, the author primarily questions the legitimate and ethical use of artificial intelligence. The author also comes to the realization that there is no need to fear algorithms as they are inherently limited and never surpass their creator or programmer. However, the combination of their inherent limitations and their misuse can lead to segregating, authoritarian, and catastrophic outcomes. Therefore, in this installation, Kubus appears as a total subject, standing cold and firm in the midst of the artwork, exerting control over the space and time it occupies. Accompanied by readymade objects, the installation allows participants to freely interpret and reflect upon it through its total performance.

The project was also exhibited at Ponjava II, 2022
